The General Council of the Gard transformed the old railway line from Sommières to Caveirac into a charming green trail for   pedestrians, cyclists, baby buggies, rollers and all other forms of non-motorised transport, and it is free and secure.

Built on the route of the old railway line, it crosses landscapes and villages of the area around Sommières and the Vaunage.

Throughout the route, it proposes connections to hiking trails to enable users of the trail to voyage farther afield.

The guidebook of green trail is on sale at the Tourist office and lists 250 km of hiking trails from Sommières and villages around.

Free parking is at your disposal as well as picnic spots.
